Manchester Gang War Explodes

Manchesters estates have been plunged into violence following the assasination of local Drug Baron Gary Fletcher in the streets he once fed on. Manchester Police were already reeling following the arrest of its chief Inspector when Fetcher was found beheaded outside his home, aparantly murdered by Triad hitmen moving in on Fletchers patch.
The estates were first plunged into violence five weeks ago when its believed Fletchers youth based gang started to push into another dealers terittory, this lead to several deaths and was only haulted when local Vigilante Apex stepped into the fray. Apex attacked a dealers meet and phoned the police afterwards, reporting that Damage was used ont he scene and that several people were injured. Following that night a peace fell over the estates and apart from minor incidents the gangs seemed to have settlled back into a non aggression pact as the areas drug supply problems levelled out.
Acting Chief Inspector Tom Flin asked the public to remain calm and try to be vigilant when on the streets, 'There is a danger that this could esculate as those that killed Fletcher try to move into his area, we are well prepared to meet any action that these criminals see fit to take and will move on every lead until the murderers are found.'
So far there have been two non fatal stabbings since the beheading, a hit and run and a serious assault involving multiple attackers on a young asian man. None of the incidents have proven fatal, though many believe that it is only a matter of time.
