HEROES EXECUTED IN PUBLIC

Saturday night, crowds of revellers staggered out of the pubs and into the streets for the long walk home, some having gotten used to a gentle arm and a friendly word from local 'Heroes' like Kap Champion, Statsman and The Ninja. This night however will always be remembered as the night the N.M.A lashed out at those they could find in the most brutal fashion possible.
In Milton Keynes Kap Champion was bragged from the crowd by gunmen and beaten in the middle of the street in front of everyone, then doused in petrol and set ablaze.
Some tried to help him but were shot at and forced back, only able to watch as this colourful local character died in the street, surrounded by his killers who only left when Champion stopped screaming and rolling around and was clearly dead. They escaped into the night, cowards having murdered an innocent man.
In Devon the Ninja was lured to a bridge where he was assaulted by ten N.M.A stormtroopers. A rope was slung around his neck and he was thrown from a local traffic bridge for all those coming into town to see, as an example of what happens when you step out of line and face evil.
Finally, in London, The statsman was pulled into the middle of Trafalgar Square and beheaded as horrified people watched, held back by portable force fields. The three men that killed the Statsman then shutdown the force field and walked through the crowds, who were to terrified to stop them.
The Government were quick to request that all part time capes step down from their patrols and become extra vigilant. In a speech to the house of commons the home Secretary Richard Walsh had this announcement.
'We have seen the sad assassinations of three good men, men that wanted to help their fellow countrymen and do their bit. They should be remembered today and as i stand here i send my condolences to their families and pray that they can find some peace in knowing how much we all appreciate what they were trying to do.
To this end we wish to advise all costumed, active heroes and vigilantes to stand down if you have no powers or are inexperienced. This is your life that will be taken from you and we do not want you to sacrifice more than anyone ever should. If however you are planning to go out onto the streets then be aware of the danger, travel in groups if you can, look for traps and above all use the preexisting peace keeping services like the police or MI13 if you are in any doubt as to your safety.'
MI13 Chief Pete Wisdom was said to be preparing a response to the N.M.A actions though no statemen has been made so far.
