AND SO FALLS THE FLAG

A day after the deaths of three 'fake capes,' came the chilling assault in the heart of the country's capitol, an assault that would see the hero Union Jack become the first powered victim of the N.M.A's war on heroes.
Union Jack responded to a distress call by the London Eye involving a large crowd of people reported to have started attacking anyone that walked near them. As the flying bike came across the Thames a rocket fired out at close range, luckily Union Jack managed to swerve to avoid the explosive but crashed into the embankment as a result. It was there that she was attacked.
N.M.A stormtroopers came out of the crowds with Tazer units and fired them into the young hero, in footage showing the battle she takes at least five of these hits to the chest and then storms into the centre of the N.M.A and starts to fell her assailants with single blows. As her attackers fall others seem to come from the crowd, knives are thrown, a large man thunders punches into her and finally a gunshot rings through the square.

Jack seems to take all these blows but then is felled by a masked man in the crowd who its said was shouting at her. Defencless she slumped to her knees at which point she was surrounded and a containment device was placed around her that also contained flashing explosives. When the explosives detinated the circle around her flashed brightly and when the air cleared nothing was left of the brave hero but the scorched earth that she had been sitting on.

'We know we want to say that this is a trick, that we believe that Union Jack is still alive, but to be honest the chances are slim,' Said Pete Wisdom as he left Downing Street this afternoon.'This is a tragic blow for our countries powered individuals and one that we will have to respond to, we must of course make sure we respond to the right people, in the right way. But make no mistake...this will be responded too.'
