MI13 held a press conference today to address the rumours concerning the attack that took place on the instalation last night. Acting head of MI13 Joseph Chapman, an ex-Union Jack himself addressed the journalist's, photographers and public in a slick and well prepared statement and question and answer session.
'Thank you for coming here today, I'm here to confirm that MI13 was breached yesterday and that as a result of that breach over twenty of our on base security officers were killed,' he began, his face looking strained. 'In the battle Director of MI13 Peter Wisdom was shot and wounded while protecting the Infermary from the insurgents who we have identified as the Mutant assainsin group The Marauders. Mr Wisdom is in a stable condition and recieving the best possible care while remaining within the secure corden of the MI13 base. As of today i am taking full control of MI13 until Mr Wisdom is recovered enough to reassume his duties.
Though we suffered a serious loss of life we do not believe their target was the base personel but instead the interdimensional gateway equipment which was severely damaged in the assault. Yet obviously we cannot play down the impact this attack will have on our future security and operations on the base. The equipment is already being replaced, security has been upgraded and we are confident that any attack undertaken in future will be met with a more robust and effective response.
I would like to send my condolances to the families of the men and women who lost their lives defending this instalation and their comrades in the face of a brutal and evil enemy. They will not be forgotten and their bravery will spur us on to try harder to make this country a safer place for all.'
With the prepared statement read Chapman took questions from the floor.
Verity Luce: 'Do you believe this attack was aimed at the Interdimensional aspect of your work or on MI13's status as the established Super Human Deterant in Britain?'
Chapman: 'I think its clear this was an assault on MI13, its direct target was the gate, but i wouldn't say this was an attack provoked by the gates use. These people work for someone, we will find out who and why in as quick a time as possible and then respond appropriatly.'

MURDER MOST FOUL
Police forces all over the country have announced significant deaths in the criminal world in a night of the long knives style hit, undertaken by the group that later slipped into MI13 and left it burning into the early hours last night.
Hits in London, Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Brighton, Dover and Bristol saw local figures who are known to be connected with criminal organisations assassinated almost simultaneously leaving local police fearing gang wars with erupt in all of the cities effected, causing significant disruption, destruction and deaths.
'We are looking into whether these were all organised as one large hit or whether each was taken as smaller contracts and were carried out at the hitters convenience,' said Inspector Mark Wade of the Birmingham police.
All the victims were men in their thirties and forties and said to be organisers and enforcers for their organisations, not bosses. Though the names of the men were not announced New Scotland Yard conceded that it was only a matter of time before the names found their way into the public through leaks, twitter or journalistic probing.

Motorway Mayhem
The roads around and in Manchester were the stage for a dangerous and violent conflict between Vigilantes and Triad members last night in three separate engagements. Each fight saw two Vigilantes ram a van off the road or stop it using their varied abilities, and from each van came at least three 'Jet' powered Triad killers who all displayed super human abilities.
In the heart of the Marks Estates the Vigilante Gamma and an unknown and never before seen hero dressed in black biker leathers and crash helmet fought their opposition for a short while before escaping away from the vans they had stopped. On the motorway heading out of town a similar situation unfolded with Fung Chi and Sinner attacking the van, only to pullout as well at roughly the same time as Gamma did. Finally Not Alice attacked another van with a man in a hockey mask and though they seemed to have bested their enemies who didn't even get out of the back of the van before Not Alice downed them, they too withdrew.
With the Vigilantes pulling back came the destruction of the vans along with the three 'Jet' heads who were lined up around the vans and so killied when the vehicles were firebombing by their drivers.
Damage to the roads was minimal considering the Jet and Vigilantes involved but voices of disapproval and concern were still calling for a formal inquiry into the deaths of the 'Jetheads' and whether they were at all preventable.
Tom Flin; acting Chief Inspector of Manchester Police expressed his concern over the incidents, 'We are looking at the Vigilante community stabilising and forming a network. On the surface this sounds excellent but if you look a little deeper then the evidence would suggest that things are about to get rougher.
We have seen the powered Vigilante community take a battering and they seem to be on the ropes, with their beats being enforced but certainly more cautiously than before. Now we see them ramming vehicles of the roads and pulling out of their action when they don't like the flavour of the conflict they have started. This is a strong indication they are being pushed by their fear of N.M.A hit teams into gorilla style action, that almost always leads to militancy which in turn brings them onto the road that people like the Punisher and Le Haine tread.
How long before they start taking tactical calls on who can be allowed to stay on the streets or on who has the money to beat the system and so should be subject to more serious action? I like the idea of the Bow Street Runners and their fancy dress neighbourhood watch but the others? Scary people with a disregard for the law...we normally would label them criminals. How long before we are forced too by their actions on the streets or in the back alleys?'

Network Confirms Knoxville Pregnant!
The Network that funds and films Challengers of the Fucking Impossible have finally confirmed what was the worst kept secret on the planet next to Giggs and his off pitch fun, yes, Knoxville is pregnant! The highly embarrassing and incredible situation kicks all of his work commitments for the next three months into touch leaving him a perspective single parent with no income.
The challengers found themselves in familiar surroundings when their stunt backfired in the finale of their show which saw the living planet Ego having sex with a lonely floating orb that the challengers had named 'Delilah.' With the masters of mayhem set on the planet, waiting for Ego; the last of his race, to start mating with the planet, holding cameras to capture the event even they must have figured out that it was gonna go bad; but no, they sat grinning wickedly, ready to film the first celestial porno.
As Ego released his probe and inserted it into Delilah the earth shock and reception was poor but it seems that he pumped vast amounts of spore like pods into the planet that came pouring out of the aperture they had created for him. It took just fifteen seconds for Ego to shoot his bullet, proving himself not the greatest lover in the universe. The spores flooded the area and once one had been absorbed then all the others seemed to flood towards Knoxville, turning his eyes completely white! After that Knoxville later quoted that it was like a million voices all crying out at once and then were suddenly silenced.
Ego removed his love proboscis and moved away looking dazed but was back within ten minutes to try again, this time lasting over a minute before again spilling his seed, again the spores seemed to be absorbed into Knoxvilles skin who could best be described as feeling 'very full.' Twice more this occurred before the Challengers could escape to a safe distance. Luckily for them they got off just in time as the gravametric and seismic force of his probing proved too much for Delilah who exploded right in his face leaving him tired but very happy.
The challengers returned to Earth to seek medical advice and were kept waiting as Twitter went mad, claiming Knoxville was celestially pregnant. This was confirmed by the Network as they also confirmed that Knoxville was examined by a cosmic expert who gave Knoxville the run down on what he could expect.
'Its likely that he will swell till he simply cannot take it anymore, this is likely to take maybe a month or two, then he will expel mini planets no bigger than your fist into space (probably through his arse) where i will collect them and take them to rest and grow in the orbit of their father Ego, who has agreed to allow Knoxville visiting rights whenever he can come and the mini spheres have developed atmosphere capable of supporting their Earth father,' said the Silver Surfer who was called in to help with the situation. 'This will be a difficult time for all involved but I'm sure we must all also celebrate an unprecedented cosmic event, the repopulating of a species!'
Icon, Knoxvilles friend had this to say about the event and its coming difficulties, 'We returned home and Johhny seemed fine, then, during dinner, he started too..., he...this thing...no sorry. Erm, yes this was unexpected and certainly is exciting! We are looking forward to the birth immensely, at least me and Jack are, i think Johhny is slightly scared of passing large lumps of living rock through his ass but if you cant do the time you shouldn't do the crime. Bow Street Runners Are Born!
The 'fake cape' movement have settled on a new collective moniker to refer to them by and immediately rammed home the point by taking to the streets in force. As they now seem to have galvanised their movement behind the figure head 'Freestyle' they called on the media to shelve the 'Fake Cape' name and refer to them as 'The Bow Street Runners,' in homage to the street protectors who operated like a militia before the first police force was formed.
'The Runners' are now boasting over thirty members from all over the country and have urged the public to get involved as well, 'If you see a runner, fighting for your freedom then lend a hand if you can, phone the police, shout 'fire,' get involved. You don't have to fight with your fists to face the enemy, just don't tolerate their hate anymore, don't live in fear of them, rise up and be counted!' Urged Freestyle as he talked to Sky news.
The Police have asked for the public to be aware of their limitations and not to interfere in any criminal activity that may lead to them being harmed themselves or the incident escalating out of control. This has been seen as a stance of opposition to the Vigilante movement and many sources at Scotland Yard are said to be 'just waiting' for the first Vigilante to step out of line and take it to far so that they can crackdown on 'The Runners.
In a public pole conducted by the sun over the weekend it came out clearly that seventy five percent of their readers were one hundred percent behind the 'The Runners,' fifteen percent thought they were risking too much while only ten percent thought that they weren't helping at all.

The Canadian super team 'Alpha Flight' are back and straight back into the action following some form of mystical event surrounding the gods of Olympus and other Pantheons.
The exact details of the event are unknown and have been reported to be 'too complicated for the mortal mind to comprehend. Union Black Recovering In Hospital Following Assisination Atempt
Ex Crusader Union Black was rushed into a medical centre last week following a failed assassination attempt on his life. The information was leaked by a source working within the Holding facility where he is being held, thought to be the famous Maze prison. The source claimed that Black was slipped an incredibly strong dose of Hyper Hallucinogenics which caused him to have nightmare visions, during these visions the Ex New Crusader wounded himself severely while trying to fight off invisible assailants.
'It was all caught on camera and everything, we have to watch him constantly, so when dinner finished he flipped, it was way too dangerous to enter the cell and so we had to wait for him to blow himself out and then tranquilise him before we could restrain and treat him. There was blood everywhere,' claimed the source at the prison.
The Home Secretary confirmed shortly afterwards that there was an incident at the detention facility holding Black and that he was 'badly injured in a serious short term psychotic reaction to a chemical induced into his system.' Though it was also said that the ex hero was recovering and would make a full recovery from the self inflicted injuries.
This incident raises real concern for the hero who is thought to be very high on the hit list of every criminal organisation on the planet. If they can get to him once then they can do so again.
Security expert and Internationally known ex S.H.I.E.L.D agent Jack Bauer was keen to stress the importance of protecting Union Black while he is in custody. 'The government is responsible for his welfare and if they cant keep him safe then they should turn him over to S.H.I.E.L.D, pure and simple. To have him killed in a British jail as he does his time justly would send a message out to every hero and Vigilante out there, trust the government at the risk of your own life. That is an unacceptable situation.'
Black is said to be in a secure Hospital and will be transferred back to his prison cell as soon as possible to continue his recovery.

Paris Pandamonium
Paris police have released an A.P.B for known felon and ex hero Le Haine who is thought to be operating in the Paris area. Le Haine, an ex member of La Resistance, has always been known for his overly aggressive style on the streets and has been criticized many times by the French Government for the amount of injuries he dealt out while making arrests.
Le Haine has been missing from the Vigilante scene for twenty months, having thought to have been spotted in the Calais area two months ago only to for it to have been confirmed as a false alarm. In that time Crime rates have steadily raised every month till they have finally levelled out to where they were before he started his war on crime in France years ago.
The Paris Police Commissioner released this statement yesterday, 'Le Haine was spotted escaping from a hotel in Paris. When officers attended the scene they traced him back to the hotel managers house, who was found brutally slain in his bed. Le Haine is our number one suspect in this murder and we would also like to question him concerning several rapes in the Paris area over the last two months. I am confident he will be apprehended soon and brought to swift justice for his crimes.'

Chinese Police Capture Jet Lab
Chinese authorities announced a huge bust that saw thirty six arrests and a Jet haul worth approximately thirteen million pounds, claiming that the lab was secured by Chinese operatives at great personal risk. The individuals that assaulted the lab were quoted as having professionally swooped through the mountain lab without any loss of life, capturing four highly trained guards and thirty scientists working closely with the leader of the operation, international terrorist and known magic user Yu Chu Lei.
Chu Lei is a known associate of the Mandarin and Fu Man Chu and was personally trained by the terrifying Mandarin himself in the mystic arts and has since used his gifts to spread fear and death wherever he goes. At the present he is reported to be working with the huge Triad push into Europe and so was almost certainly using his gifts to transport the substance through boarders and across the world without the authorities able to stop him.
Chu Lei was being guarded by legendary fighter and King of the Death match Li Chang, a man thought to have won over one hundred death bouts, a man who was bested in close combat by the new Chinese Super hero The Dragon. The Dragon is thought to be from a prestigious martial artist bloodline and took the killer down within their opening blows.

One Month On and Manchester Remember
The people of Manchester held a candle lit vigil to remember the hero they lost one month ago and his friend who died four days later.
Apex and Anathema have both had private services at the MI13 base but this outpouring of grief by the Manchester people shows just how much the two deaths have effected the way the Vigilantes are seen by the public now.
'We pray for them and hope they stay well but we pray they also stay out there, doing the job they have set themselves,' said local figure Lionel Marks, 'We need to make sure that they know how much we need them, fighting these Nazi scumbags. That's what we need them for.'
Marks, a business man who was described as 'well connected,' organised the event at the construction site where Apex was killed and though he seemed calm must have been surprised to see the seven thousand strong crowd descend on the road outside the site and stay long into the night.
The police confirmed there were no arrests in the area that night and that though the vigil was over attended Marks was not to be pursued for any breach of health and safety rules.

N.M.A Hit Team Taken Out by Fake Capes
The Lords of The Dance looked to be in terminal trouble when they were ambushed by N.M.A on the streets of Stratford and probably would have been if not for the efforts of six other 'fake capes' that came to their rescue.
The Lords were trying to stop youths throwing stones at the large old Library when a black van pulled up and out jumped four men in black combats carrying baseball bats. They surged forward and attacked the Lords, dropping them quickly and looking as though they were about to murder more brave heroes in public when the men were swarmed upon by fake capes that lept from cars parked near by.
Local lad Leon King was there on the scene and watched it all happen.
'They were prancing around in front of the hoodies and i thought they were gonna get a shoeing for sure, then the van pounces in and out jumps the Nazis! Mate, they hammered the leotard wearing twats real quick and were gonna smash their heads in but then bang! From these cars parked near by six guys lept out and just smashed the fuck out of the Nazis! I think that Freestyle guy was the leader but i saw Curbstomp, Yeti, Shank, and some others hit those cunts like a fucking freight train and as soon as they got in close they fucked them up.
Then Curbstomp drags one of them to the road and i see him dragged away by the Yeti, but for sure he was gonna make that cunt bite the curb, for real.'
The Police confirmed that five N.M.A terrorists were taken into custody and though all needed medical attention none were seriously hurt.
The Lords of the Dance all received medical aid on the scene but none of them needed to go to hospital for further treatment. The other Fake Capes were also said to suffer no more than cuts and bruises.

Roberts Assasinated In His Cell
Mark Roberts was shot and killed last night in his cell, just a day before he was due to give evidence against Templar Inc and the N.M.A. He was found in the corner of his cell with a single gunshot wound to the head, probably fired from the door.The Metropolitan Police were unable to make comment on the event due to their internal investigation but off the record one Detective was more than pleased to speak to me;

'Its an incredibly harsh set back on our investigation and may well force us to accept that we will only get the ones we have already tagged and arrested. Brixton streets have burst into life at night, not due to a new music scene or rampaging crime but instead through the urgings of the Vigilante 'Freestyle,' a one time villain who fought the original New Crusaders at the Beckhams Mansion on their first outing as a unit.
'Freestyle,' spoke in front of a crowd of twenty or thirty youths a week after the death of Apex in Manchester, urging them to come off the fence and start to work with the authorities against the rising far right movement that is gripping the streets of Britain.
'You can make a difference, not the lawyers and the Suits...you! I was just like you, feeling powerless and tired of the bullshit, so i joined gangs and i made money my goal, and soon i even found a super villain who wanted to pay me to do what i have been doing my whole life...fighting! So that's what i did, i got a costume and i joined other like minded, damaged and disillusioned men who just didn't have a clue.

Since the speech was made Brixton has seen patrols of twenty strong youths, all wearing Freestyles symbol of Defiance; an 'A' surrounded by two perfect white circles, worn on black t-shirts and hoodies. The Police have warned all those wearing the symbol that they may be seen as a target by the N.M.A but it hasn't stopped the four thousand T-Shirts originally printed from selling out.
Wearing the T-Shirt is an open sign of defiance against the N.M.A hate machine and they are comfortable...I'm wearing one right now!
Templar Inc Investigated by Interpol
The company at the heart of the Mark Roberts trial, Templar Inc, have had their international accounts seized by Interpol and the European Union Financial Department and are almost certain to be found guilty of numerous international crimes including Bribery and Funding International Terrorism the Foreign Office revealed today.
Templar Inc is a large international security firm that provides modern and robust security for large music and Sport events. They were contracted to protect high risk players and managers at the last four world cups and have already been assigned areas of control in Russia for the next world cup. They Protected Justin Beiber when he played in North Korea and were set to guard Michael Jackson on his come back world tour, a tour cancelled due to the stars death.

Another Hero Down
MI13 Director Pete Wisdom broke the sad news to the crowd gathered outside his base and to the world that the hero Anathema had tragically died in emergency surgery earlier today, joining his fellow Vigilante Apex who was murdered four days ago in Manchester.
'His condition deteriorated and so he was rushed into potentially life saving surgery. Sadly his injuries were too serious, the damage to his body too much and so it lands to me to inform you that Anathema passed away an hour ago on the operating table,' Wisdom informed us, obviously finding it difficult to retain his stoic composure.
'At this time i would ask you that MI13 be left to deal with these two brave heroes details in the hope that they maybe now can find the peace that was not afforded them in their last hours on earth.'
The Government was said to be saddened by the passing of someone who was so obviously trying to make a difference for their fellow Britain's and hoped that their sacrifice would have some meaning in time.

Defiantly Others Stand To Hold the Tide
A day after Apex fell in Manchester and news is coming in from all parts of the country that people are taking to the streets to show their support for the heroes that are so bravely being cut down.
'The Hammer of Hailsham,' a man who has started fighting local crime in the south coast town became active last week fighting a group of local thugs with a wooden mallet and was simply lost in the middle pages of most of the newspapers until today. His stand alone would be impressive but last night over thirty new costumed 'fake capes' became active from Scotland to Cornwall.
In Edinbourgh 'Scots Kiss,' broke up a fight in the town centre and was thanked for his efforts though asked not to head butt so many people next time, 'The Yeti,' a man in a chewbaca costume chased down a purse snatcher in Oxford but needed medical aid due to him passing out just after the police arrived to cart the man away, he was suffering from heat exhaustion.
'The Ballerina, Prance and Oberon,' have become active in Stratford Upon Avon forming 'The Lords of the Dance' and are intent on stopping crime by trying to reach people through the beauty of dance. 'The H.A.N (Hard As Nails) and The Force' were said to be breaking up underage drinkers in their local village of St Mary Meade and that they claim to work with a nation wide detective group known as 'The Marple.'

Apex Ordeal Revealled
Followng paramedics reports on the state of the hero Apex's body MI13 have released a statement concerning his injuries and those of his fellow hero Anathema.
'The two heroes were obviously attacked and we feel it is best to release some details to clarify their conditions when they came into our care. Sadly Apex was dead on the scene, killed by a single gunshot wound to the head. It is true that he was badly beaten before he was shot and we can confirm that he had a shattered left arm, broken right shoulder, shattered ribs, multiple punctures of both lungs, several fractures in his skull, broken eye socket, nose and jaw, collar bone, hip and right leg. His right ankle was shattered, the left wrist was fractured and he was suffering from massive bruising to the brain and internal bleeding. His right eye was punctured and he had severe spinal and neck injuries.
Anathema is currently in our care and is receiving emergency treatment. As well as minor fractures and massive bruising he has had both legs shattered from his hips to his toes, so serious are the injuries that he his not expected to walk again. We hope this announcement will stop the wild and exaggerated rumours and allow these two brave heroes the privacy they need in life and death.'
MI13 have said that they are preparing to have serious and emergency meetings concerning the situation on the streets and the threat posed by the N.M.A and the other criminal elements operating in the country.

MURDER IN MANCHESTER
The gang war threatening Manchester's streets burst into life yesterday afternoon claiming four lives and leaving dozens seriously injured, among the dead local hero Apex. In total fourteen gang members were rushed to hospital with serious but non life-threatening injuries as well as the London hero Anathema who was taken to Greater Manchester hospital in a critical condition and slipped into a coma shortly after being admitted.
The violence started at twelve o clock when seven men armed with assault rifles burst into a laundry and shot the proprietor dead, immediately a large group of Triad members returned fire from the back rooms as across town a mansion in the middle of exstesive renovations was attacked by another seven men with assault rifles, believed to be linked to the local figure Lionel Marks.
As the laundry staged an intense and frenetic firefight three heroes hit the assault rifle wielding criminals in the shop front area; Fung Chi, Not Alice and Gamma came through the large plate glass windows and engaged the enemy. In a battle that lasted over a minute the three heroes managed to subdue the seven local gangsters and the ten Triad gangsters in the back rooms. Several of the criminals needed exstensive medical treatment for their injuries including a man high on Jet that had to be rushed into surgery suffering from gunshot wounds inflicted by his comrades. The only fatality being the man shot before the heroes entered the shop.
At the construction site a large trades vehicle pulled up outside and from the back jumped the gunmen, heavily armed and ready to deal death. As they attacked, firing at the building (thankfully allowing the workers to flee unharmed) they were met by Triad gunmen with automatic weapons, amazingly no one was killed in the opening salvos!
Onto this scene of carnage and blood lust came Anathema and the ill-faited Apex and they hit the enemy with some style. Anathema drove his motorbike into the thick of the combat felling his targets with ease, as he moved on others witnesses describe him running through hails of bullets, many seemingly striking him but not even slowing him down.
Inside Apex drove through the front window of the study and hammered the enemy inside with his super strength and fighting prowess. Again witnesses claim to have heard gun fire and screaming from inside as he tore through the Triad gunmen and at this point the pair were described by people on the scene as 'awe inspiring,' though that sadly would not last.
Anathema moved into the building leaving one gunman outside who was soon shot in the street by the Triads in the building and died on the scene. Anathema is reported to continued the battle with the Triads and Apex was seen at the front window having incapacitated all the gunmen in his area, this is however was when the battle shifted for the two heroes.
From the street many say they saw black clad figures assault Apex brutally and reportedly watched him fall to the ground. Anathema was then dragged into the room, held down and forced to watch as the black clad assailants took several minutes to beat Apex to death in front of him. As the police pulled ever closer a pistol was produced and Apex was executed on the scene with a single shot to the head. Anathema was then set upon and had his legs shattered as he lay feet from his dead friend.

Dark Arrow Confirmed as Crawley Corpse.
The body of a young woman found under an under pass in Crawley was confirmed as that of the 'Dark Arrow' yesterday and further details were released concerning the horrific way in which she died.
The Police confirmed that the 'Dark Arrow' was a twenty two year old Veterinarian named Kira Holton from Crawley who lived with her parents Neil and Daphnie Holton. The Police needed to use dental records to identify the poor woman who's final hours proved to be brutal and inhuman.
The N.M.A left documented evidence in the form of video footage at her family home, where her parents were discovered beaten to death in their bedroom. In the footage the young woman was brutally beaten, tortured and raped before finally being forced to watch her parents murdered as she was burnt to death.
'Obviously we need to let people know what has happened, what this poor woman went through, what she suffered,' said Chief Constable Hugh Kerry of Sussex Police. 'The fact is that if you go out there to fight the good fight then you have to know the risks and this is an incredibly risky thing to do. To hit the streets in this clime is tantamount to suicide and so we urge all capes to get off the streets and if you don't then be aware that if they catch you then they will kill you.'
